Buying in Bulk

Ok... so my family has shopped at Costco since I can remember. Being the eldest of 7 children, we would often all go together and push along one of those huge, extra large push carts. We would pile the items so high! Boy I loved going to Costco... still do. But now that I am married with children and paying the grocery bill I wonder... do I really save by shopping at Costco? Are items really cheaper then at the local grocery store? And if so... how much? Is it worth the longer drive? Well, this curiousity inspired me to do some investigating. 	Corey Kielan said: They don't take credit because it cost them money to accept credit. Banks charge a lot of money to process credit transactions. WinCo has good prices but there's none over here. I work at Vons though so I usually shop there and at Costco when I can. There are some things that you save money on and others that you don't. November 11, 2009 9:29 PM

On the things I buy most often Sam's beats Costco prices PLUS check out time at the register is much quicker. Sam's also offers Click & Pull service which allows you to order online before 5 pm, and pick up your order the next day. One quick swipe of the bar code reader and you are out of the store! Sam's also now has some coupons/special values that are loaded onto your club card via their website making even greater savings. I've recently hopped back on the coupon clipper wagon and I'm in the process of evaluating coupon clipping savings compared to Club Savings. So far Club prices still come out ahead on some items!
