A widow - has decided to sell her husband's burial spot directly above

Marilyn Monroe.

(She says she needs the money.)

Elsie Poncher - put the burial spot on eBay.

The pitch:

"The person occupying the address right now is looking face down on her."

Bidding for the plot - started at $500,000.

By Sunday night the bidding had reached $2.5 million.

The winning bid gets the crypt - after the remains of Mr. Poncher are moved.

(No one at eBay - could comment Sunday night)

(The plot is at Westwood Village Memorial Park.  Playboy's Hugh Hefner owns the crypt right next to Monroe.)
